The Installation of Eazy Eval is a breeze process and requires minimal level of user familiarity with the usage of computers. The Installation Disk is provided with a Single Package Installer. This Installer contains a Wizard like interface from which the user can install all the required components of Eazy Eval on his System with out any hassles.
Modes of Installation
Eazy Eval can be installed in three different modes, which controls the way in which the installed system functions. The different modes in which a system can be setup with Eazy Eval are explained below.
This mode of installation makes the installed System act as a Database Server, to which the Eazy Eval software connects from other networked machines. The Database package that is shipped with Eazy Eval is the Open Sourced PostgreSQL 8.0 version. The backend server can be setup either on a Windows PC or on a Linux box according to the availability of the platform. Refer the "PostgreSQL Installation Section" for more info on how to setup a PostgreSQL Database Server on your network. This is the default installation type in the installer.
This mode installs the complete front-end package of Eazy Eval, from which the whole software can be operated. This installation gives authenticated users, access to the full features of Eazy Eval, which includes access to Question Bank, Question paper generator and Exam Center modules. This is a package from which you can maintain details about users, candidates, subjects, questions, exams, results etc.
This mode installs only the Exam Center module on the target machine. This module lets candidates take exams scheduled to them by administrators. This module is excellent if you want to install only the bare minimum needed module on machines set aside for candidates.
